This is the first course in a two-part series of beginning French. It will help you develop your French skills in a comprehensive manner, including proficiency building in the five communication modes of interpretive listening, interpretive reading, presentational speaking, presentational writing, and interpersonal communication. It will also introduce you to the cultural and ethnic diversity of the francophone world, while deconstructing a number of clichés about France.
