Metacognition and the Transition to College is a course offered to students in their first semester as an alternative to the regular THRIVE sessions. Specifically geared toward first-generation and/or low-income students, the purpose is to allow for real self-reflection and to inspire growth and development in all areas of the self – intellectual, personal, emotional, social, physical, ethical, spiritual, and vocational. Our class will follow will overlap with some of the THRIVE timeline and curriculum and has additional meeting times and assignments.
