      The Community-Engaged Learning (CEL) components of the course may involve working with children/youth. Therefore, students in the course need to obtain following clearances:

      • PA Child Abuse History Clearance
      • PA State Criminal Background Check
      • FBI Fingerprinting

      Please follow the provided instructions carefully and then click on the link below if you are ready to submit your clearances to the Civic Engagement Office. Make sure to save a copy of your clearances in your personal files.

      Note that you will also be responsible for submitting your clearances to your hosting community partner if they request them. 

      If you have any concerns about obtaining clearances, please contact your course instructor.
