  • The first four weeks are designed to give students an overview of gentrification, its history and evolution, as well as some key concepts associated with gentrification. On Tuesday, I we will do introductions and I will give an overview of the course. We’ll also discuss using Moodle and course expectations. On Thursday, we will discuss out first reading, beginning at the beginning: with Ruth Glass, the German-British planner and sociologist who coined the term “gentrification.”
