    • 3 options for ArcGIS access:
       
      1. Use LabStats and Apporto to connect to lab computers to use ArcGIS

      Do this ASAP
      IF you have any problems, submit a Help request to the IT help desk at Help@brynmawr.edu - put as much detail as possible in your email about what your problem is
       

      2. On campus computers
      All public computers at BMC have ArcGIS installed - list here: http://www.brynmawr.edu/computing/support/ComputingLabs.htm
      You will need 1) a thumb drive to store all of your files or 2) access to H Drive through BMC.
       
      3. Student License to use on your own computer - $100 for 1 year
      Must install on PC or hard disk partition on Mac using Bootcamp
      IMPORTANT NOTE: The student license does not include the Spatial Analyst extension, which is required for Lab 7. All other labs you can do with the student license.
       
       
      TO ACTIVATE LICENSE FOR EXTENSIONS (LIKE SPATIAL ANALYST TOOLS):
      Community members can manually activate the extensions themselves by using the simple instructions provided below: Upon opening ArcGIS Pro and seeing the initial start-up screen select settings > licensing > scroll down and select "configure your licensing options" and from there simply check off whatever extensions are needed. 
       

      FILE MANAGEMENT

      Recommended for BMC students

      1.    Set up a folder for 201 on your H: drive or OneDrive

      2.    Open Google Chrome, navigate to Moodle, login, and navigate to our class page

      3.    Download lab data (zipped files) and extract (unzip) to either (a) your 201 folder on H: or (b) to another location on your hard drive and then upload to OneDrive

      4.    Connect to a lab computer via LabStats

      5.    Open File Explorer and navigate to your H: folder or connect to your OneDrive folder

      6.    Use this 201 folder on either H: or OneDrive for storing data and map files

      Use ingress.brynmawr.edu if you need to transfer files between your H: and personal computer

      APPORTO

      Recommended for Haverford students

      2.    Create a folder for 201 on the Apporto desktop

      3.    Use Google Chrome in the Apporto window to navigate to moodle.brynmawr.edu and login with your credentials

      4.    Download lab data (zipped files) from our class Moodle page

      5.    Extract (unzip) to your 201 folder

      6.    Use your 201 folder on the Apporto desktop for storing data and map files
