  For the First Week of CHEM 103

  Before our class on Monday, August 31st, please do the following:

  1) Read the syllabus posted on Moodle.

  2) Get a textbook. We are using a free opensource text and the pdf is available at https://openstax.org/details/books/chemistry-2e. If you want a copy on paper you can either order it online or go to the campus bookstore (it costs about $50 if you want a physical copy of the text)

  ** After Monday’s lecture, sign up for the Achieve homework system. It costs approx. $50 for the semester. If it presents a financial difficulty, please contact your dean.

  i.    Go to https://achieve.macmillanlearning.com/courses/269abv and create an account

  ii.    Course ID: 4txh35, register through: https://achieve.macmillanlearning.com/courses/4txh35.

  iii.   Once you have created an account, log into it and then return to the link above. You should then be able to "Purchase Achieve Access".
