Artifact/Architectural Analysis

In 500-800 words describe a specific object or architectural space in detail from Pompeii or another site in the Bay of Naples (i.e. Herculaneum, Oplontis, etc), moving from physical observation to an interpretation of its daily or social function. You can pick any object or monument from the textbooks and sources provided. Please use scholarly sources only. Images and bibliography do not count toward word length.
