Completion requirements

Here are the DNA Sequencing results.

  1. Download your sequencing file.
  2. Download this free software and follow the instructions to install.
  3. Use SnapGene to open your file.
  4. Click on "sequence' at the bottom of the window to view the actual sequence.
  5. Highlight and copy the entire sequence. (If there are large stretches of "N" at the ends, do not copy those, start after and end before them).
  6. Go here: https://blast.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/Blast.cgi
  7. Click on "Nucleotide Blast"
  8. Paste the sequence in the box labeled: "Enter accession number(s), gi(s), or FASTA sequence(s)"
  9. Click "BLAST" at the bottom - a results window will appear, but it could take a little while, be patient!
  10. View your results! A long list will be generated - the ones at the top are statistically most likely to be a match.
