Clarification on Ending Title IX Question

At the end of the recording we talked about a situation where a resident disclosed a Title IX issue to an HA, but the HA ended up not  revealing the name of the resident to the Title IX Coordinator. To be clear, if a resident discloses a Title IX issue, that information must get to the Title IX Coordinator by the shortest route possible. There are, however,  some situations where the Title IX Coordinator might decide that they do not need the student's name. For example, they may already know about the situation or the situation described may not necessitate follow up. If the Title IX Coordinator needs their name, as a responsible person, you should provide it.

This year, we will see new policies and practices around Title IX and it is imperative that we all defer to our Coordinator, Kim Taylor, and her training.
