Hello!
My name is Catherine (she/her pronouns) My academic schedule is a bit different. I am an advanced standing part-time student at Bryn Mawr, and I am finishing up my 2 last courses this summer. I was able to walk at graduation this past weekend which was awesome. I am taking this course because I currently work primarily with neurodiverse children and adolescents at my full-time job outside of my field practice. I plan to continue to work closely with neurodiverse children and adolescents post graduate school. I currently intern at St. Lukes Psychiatric Associates in the Lehigh Valley, so I am excited about being able to experience life on campus for the next few weeks. I will be bringing a background of working with neurodiverse children, adolescents, and young adults and am always eager to share the advocacy information I have. Unfortunately, there is a huge number of neurodiverse individuals who are not able to seek mental health therapy because of their diagnosis (autism / intellectual disability). I look forward to sharing my wisdom as well as gaining insight from my peers and Tom Hurster! :)
