How do you as a social worker determine the way in which you want to engage with a child in a therapeutic practice if they appear to be more "fragile", and your approach is one of "tough love"? You can say you tailor your approach to the client, yet there are also instances where there is value in challenging the client to think beyond where they currently are. You also don't want to be responsible for pushing them to their panic zone so they no longer can effectively engage. How do you draw that line?
