I enjoyed watching the TEDx  “What Adolescents Need to Thrive.”

This is very educational and contains a powerful message. For instance, in our current era, adolescents' culture is connected to their devices, and they don’t even have family time like they did many years ago. This culture created a significant gap within the family structure. However, the speaker talks about how to help adolescents to create a new culture by providing four GEMs: empathy, gratitude, forgiveness, and humility. In particular, gratitude benefits individuals by allowing them to appreciate what they have and have a strong connection and completeness.

The speakers remind me of Dr. Joe Dispenza’s book “Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself.” Dr. Dispenza is a neuroscientist who has written multiple books. Most of his books discuss these different variables. His research revealed that empathy, gratitude, forgiveness, and humility can change participants’ brain waves and help their brains and hearts work coherently during meditation. Below is his info if anyone is interested in reading his books.
