Please find our revised syllabus reflected on Moodle. Additionally, I wanted to give you all brief guidelines for the upcoming essay proposal.
I am looking for a paragraph identifying your main argument/thesis for the upcoming final. Ideally, you will indicate what texts you anticipate writing on. I recognize that this exercise is speculative at this stage and subject to change. Think of this as an opportunity for me to greenlight an argument you might pursue while recommending articles that might prove useful.
The final is 12-15 pages and includes 5-8 external sources. Secondary readings from our syllabus cannot count towards this source threshold more than two times. You are welcome to submit a provisional bibliography, but this is not required.
If you elect to do a creative project, I'll want to see a project overview and a sketch of what your artist's statement might begin to look like. The same page requirements/source requirements do not neatly apply to creative projects, but we should meet and chat about what this might look like after your proposal.
