Hope you are already resting and looking ahead to a nice weekend.
I wanted to make two small announcements/reminders, which we can go over together when we meet next Tuesday:
- We are confirmed to go to the Pennsylvania Hospital Museum on Thursday, September 17. This is revised from the syllabus, which suggested Tuesday the 15th as a possible date. We will depart campus at 2pm, from the Ward Parking lot, in two mini-vans (thank you Ocean for agreeing to be a second driver!). The tour will last from 3-4pm, and we might plan for 30 minutes of buffer time in case it rolls over, or we need to use the restroom and get situated. I anticipate arriving back on campus between 5:30 and 6pm.
- A small reminder that your first "Keyword" Reading Response" is due next Monday, September 7, by 11:59pm. If the long weekend takes you away from work, remember that you are allowed to miss one reading response (of the eight total) without penalty to your grade. Take a look at the syllabus for more information and length requirements (~200-250 words). You should submit via Moodle (see the "Weekly Keyword Reading Response tab and discussion forum).
