This course comprises the 2026 Geology Department field trip to Iceland taking place over the October fall break. Through pre-trip readings and guided fieldwork, we will learn how volcanism, tectonics, glaciation, coastal processes, human settlement, and climate change have shaped this island nation astride the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.
