Hi my name is Lisbeth and I am a freshman! Currently i'm not sure what I want to major in, but I do have a lot of interests in the sciences so I would probably major in something that is related to the  sciences like chemistry or biology!

What I call home is my home back in NYC. I call this place home because I have lived in the same home for 18 year and have never moved. I have grown and made so many memories there.

A time period that I am intrigued by is the 1920s/the roaring 20s era because throughout this era it was the peak for different styles of dance like jazz. Also, during this era I think it was a peak of change socially and economically. I also like this era because women began to change the standards and morals of what society put in place for the way women were supposed to act and be.

So nice to have you in this class, Lisbeth. The 1920s are SUPER interesting!! Lots of great artists and entertainers in the US and abroad during that era. If you'd like to focus your research project on this decade, that'd be amazing (but also feel free to choose anything else). We'll brainstorm in class in the next few weeks about possible topics.
