I really appreciated the vulnerability Dr. Perry shared when describing his perceived failure of Tina's reverting to old harmful behaviors. I think it speaks to the humanity of the social work profession and a reminder to us new entering social workers to beware of our expectations and how they may not necessarily align with outcomes. Failures aren't failures when we continue to genuinely show up and do our best, continuing to learn and adapt.
