I have participated in school meetings, ones that involve parents, admin, stakeholders, family specialists, and lastly the principal.  Unfortunately, just as described in the description of what’s the worst that could happen at those meetings, I have witnessed first hand parents and guardians give very vulnerable accounts of real situations and issues families are facing in regards to how their children are being treated within the school, and very little to no solutions offered on behalf of admin/the principal.  How can stakeholders like myself (I work for Congreso as a Coordinator of Drug and Alcohol prevention programming), without the pull to offer services like the school social worker, offer help to both families and admin?
