I'm a career changer! On my way to the field of social work, I was a public school teacher working primarily with elementary and middle school aged students. My social work practice background includes a variety of areas ranging from school based settings, to project management, to social policy analysis and advocacy.
I love research, education, and social work so I decided to pursue a PhD in social work at the GSSWSR. I've now transitioned to working in higher education in student services. I hope to finish my dissertation research and complete my degree within the next 1-2 years. Moving forward, my goal is to continue working in higher education, either in administration or as an instructor.
