I was thinking: she might actually be interested in 'housing in non-capitalist systems' given the interest in Soviet (there is a TON in English). I can def help with China, also know former Eastern Bloc cases a bit, and she could add others that aren't socialist nation-state based (Basque region is fun, for example).
