Hi! My name is Alexa Farrah, but most people just call me Lex.
I am interested in working in higher education and public health and working with adolescents and college students. This class interests me because I have a gap in my knowledge in regard to working with children. I am a macro/mezzo social worker, with a background in disability employment advocacy, career counseling, and nonprofit healthcare case management. My advanced year field placement was at the Community College of Philadelphia's Women's Outreach and Advocacy Center, providing drop-in academic, emotional, and mental health support, crisis intervention, and other clinical skills, in addition to program development, support group facilitation, data collection and grant writing, and other macro skills, too.
I (sort of) graduated this May 2024, and have to take my electives during this summer to finish with my degree for real.
