I really appreciated a wider selection of video resources discussing the roles of ACEs in impacting individual development.

ACEs have been introduced to us in other classes -- which I appreciate --

-- I feel like covering the ACE study and the following research and analysis is important, and deserves to be re-visited from a number of angles.  As Soren Gordhamer notes when he interviews Dr. Burke Harris: as a society we've had access to the ACE study findings for more than 20 years, and we have not changed our funding patterns very much (as far as I am aware).

Dr. Burke Harris, in her interview with Gordhamer, covers her initial understandings about possible ACEs impacts in a more-focused way than I've heard before -- maybe from a more specific and personal perspective.  Dr. Burke Harris's young patient apparently failed to thrive or grow physically, from the time of an acute experience of sexual / physical abuse and trauma.

Katy Pasquariello gives a moving presentation on ACEs and the aftermath of ACEs on development.  Pasquariello demonstrates personal integrity and bravery.  Pasquariello's message that individuals who are suffering can take hope and can persevere is heartfelt.  I'm saddened to realize that Pasquariello has been fortunate enough to have support from her mother and at least one outside supportive organization.  I think of so many people, such as the young patient of Dr. Burke Harris, who have not had comparable support over sufficient periods of time.

Benjamin Perks added an interesting specific -- about the support that is helpful for individuals carrying the burdens contributed from ACE score experiences --

-- such support will be especially helpful if it includes an effective message that lifelong learning is critical to improvement of symptoms, necessary for (partially) overcoming adverse impacts.  I understand better the wise mentoring I've received along the lines of lifelong learning.  Thank you!
