Hello Everyone,
I hope you all had fantastic summers and welcome back (almost...). I'm excited to share Approaches to Dance with you. I look forward to getting to know you all and integrating as a class. A few things to note before our first class time:
1) Syllabus Safari: Due Friday, 9/4: please have read the full syllabus. There is a "Syllabus Safari" game hidden in the text of the document, so look out for the two cues to follow. Hopefully, this invites a close and thorough reading (and a silly but purposeful accountability practice) so that we can start the semester off well. Questions that emerge in response to the syllabus are important. Be sure to bring them questions for our first class, if you have them.
2) Dress to move: We likely will do a little movement (walking, standing, sitting, etc) our first day. Dress comfortably and in layers. The Music Room's temperature is weather dependent.
3) Pay close attention in the Syllabus to the required field trips. Check the dates, mark them in your calendars, and email me if you have unchangeable conflicts asap.
