Dear students,

Welcome back to campus (and just welcome to any freshmen)! I'm very excited to be embarking on a new academic year together in CITY 248, Architectural History Workshop: Spatial Histories of Health. My name is M.C. Overholt, and I will be your professor this semester.

This is a quick note to make two announcements in advance of our first session together next Tuesday, September 1, at 2:40 p.m.:

  1. We are currently assigned Taylor Hall C for our room. Taylor Hall is not an accessible building, and I am working to ensure that we can switch to another building on campus. Please stay alert for any notifications you might receive from me (via Moodle) on Monday or Tuesday with updates on our class location. I appreciate your patience and attention.
  2. I've assigned a very short poem to read in advance of our class: “Autistic Heaven” by Cyrée Jarelle Johnson. Go check it out under the Readings tab ("Week 1. Feminist Disability Studies"). We'll read it together in class as well.

Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. My email is moverholt@brynmawr.edu.

Otherwise, I'll see you on Tuesday at 2:40 p.m., location to be announced!

M.C.
