Please find three PDF files attached to topic 1.
Read all three before our next meeting.
While working through the excerpts from the Potsdam Agreement, please also pay close attention to the discussion questions that follow the document. Come prepared to answer them in class.
In tomorrow's session we will discuss central concepts of international relations, such as power and security, and clarify how they are used in the literature. We will then move on to some of the main theories of international relations and consider how each of them makes sense of the period covered in the readings.
If anything in the texts is unclear, please note it down and bring your questions along.
