I have uploaded the materials for our next session.
Course books. I hope you will be able to obtain copies of:
- John Lewis Gaddis, The Cold War: A New History (Penguin Books, 2007)
- Odd Arne Westad, The Cold War: A World History (Basic Books, 2017)
I will ask in our next session whether you would still like me to scan the assigned pages.
Three things I would ask you to send me by email before our next meeting:
- Your pronouns, so that I can address you correctly.
- Whether you are interested in the oral history project on the experiences and memory of the Cold War in your families and among friends. If this does not appeal to you, we can certainly discuss alternatives.
- Your availability for the Pennsylvania Veterans Museum visit after fall break. Please indicate all of the following dates that would work with your schedule:
- Friday, 23 October (afternoon)
- Saturday, 24 October
- Friday, 30 October (afternoon)
- Saturday, 31 October
I will then choose the date.
