Live Well - Palace

"Live well, you reap what you sow

The future is bright if we can ebb with the flow" 

These are the first two lines of the chorus from the song "Live Well" by the band palace. The chorus abstractly defines a happy life beyond material/tangible items, but rather alludes to a more simple mindset-- to know that you reap what you sow. I interpret this as a call to live consciously and actively, recognizing that everyday actions are reflections of our values. But, in the same breath, happiness can also be found in "ebbing with the flow" and embracing surprises in life.

I really like this quote! The present moment is really powerful. I'd like to add that "ebbing with the flow" in conjunction with "you reap what you sow" suggests that we shouldn't be too attached to outcomes. To "live well" is to have faith in your actions rooted in goodwill, and to accept the unpredictability of the future (as you've mentioned). This offers a refined understanding of hope ("the future is bright") that prevents disappointment and encourages growth.
