Just a heads-up that the syllabus is online, as are the readings.
While not required, I would love if you dropped me a line (via email) with your course intentions. In short, I'm curious to learn:
- your 'why' in taking the course (ie requirement, personal interests, etc.). What knowledges are you bringing to the course, and
- what goals (academically, professionally, personally) do you have?
- What outside commitments or challenges (ie heavy course load, work schedule etc) might impact your time this semester?
- What worries or excites you about this class?
- What ways can I as an instructor support you this semester?
Take 10-15 minutes if you are inclined, does not have to be extensive.
