1) In the film What We Do in the Shadows there is a character named Stu, who was not aware that he was “acting” or being filmed for scenes. Stu Rutherford, the actor, was hired to work in IT and checking on technology, but unknowingly grew to have a role as a normal housemate in a house full of vampires. This form of surveillance seems acontextual for Stu in how his castmates and director observed him and created this film without his knowledge and through the way audiences watch an unaware Stu throughout the film. Another set of coordinates that I would like to discuss further is time period with postmodern including past, present, and future.
2) Lavater discusses the possible disadvantage of physiognomy. On page 39 he states, “But must he , because he possesses feelings and powers which are not to be reduced to rule , he pronounced unscientific”. Lavater talks about the stark borders that come with labeling physiognomy with the word science, such as being limited to following defined rules, rather than incorporating intuition.
