For Friday's class (9/11), read the Landmark Herodotus, pp. 4-8 down to [2], "It was fated..." Then, read the Greek, starting on p. 52, line 19, χρόνου δὲ οὐ πολλοῦ...try to get to the top of page 53, the full stop landing on δέομαι μὴ δέεσθαι ἀνόμων. Come with a sentence that gave you the most trouble and we'll focus on those.
For Monday, we'll combine our reading with some paradigms of the present and aorist, active and middle/passive, all indicative. There will be no quiz next week.
