I chose this visualization because it directly addresses its main question: which dog breeds are both popular and “worth it,” which are underrated, and which are popular despite having a relatively low overall score. The y-axis represents popularity, while the x-axis represents a composite data score calculated by intelligence + longevity + ailments + costs − grooming − appetite. I especially like how the four quadrants make these comparisons immediately visible. The visualization also includes additional information without making the graph too complicated: the size of each dog icon reflects breed size, the direction it faces represents intelligence, and color indicates the breed group or purpose. But one possible source of bias is the composite datascore itself, since deciding which characteristics to include and how much each should contribute involves subjective choices.
