Hi everyone!

I am Saiqian Xiao, and you can call me Sara. I go by she/her and I am a sophomore from Bryn Mawr. I am currently in Beijing, China, and will attend classes remotely. I am thinking about doing major in Cities and minor in Statistics and/or Environmental Science, but I am still in an exploring stage. (I have also taken some Maths and Sculpture courses, and find them attractive either.) After my experiences of "City Green" Esem class and City 190, I realized that many topics related to "city" arouse my interests and concerns, especially the public space, the minority, and the migrants, and most of these matters have close contact to my background and life. Therefore, I am very looking forward to learning more about the urban through this class.

In my spare time, I take photographs, do some template designs, shoot videos, and edit them. I also love walking  (always walked back to Bryn Mawr from Haverford last semester), riding the bicycle, and trying new things. I am in BMC Outdoor Club and really enjoy the mountain camping we did last Fall Break.

So glad to meet you all!!

Hi Sara! I'm also currently living in Beijing and studying remotely for this semester. Maybe we can meet in person and take a walk or ride a bicycle in Beijing together. I haven't seen autumn in this city for many years and I feel really excited about the city view later in October

Of course, we shouldn't miss Beijing's autumn! I always enjoy riding the bicycle to somewhere (a park or a street) and taking some photographs of the view. Hope we will meet each other in-person during weekends soon!
