How can we have a balance between propaganda and a canon? How do we make sure that it doesn’t steer off into any one direction?
C:
I found it really interesting how Martindale explained that the texts themselves change over time, through various interpreters and translators. I find that it personally reminds me of cultural anthropology, where the goal is to record–without bias or personal beliefs influencing it–the history, culture, and society of other groups. Is doing that possible?
