Dear all,
Our curator stored the objects of your choice in drawers to be held there until 9/24, the due date of Assignment 1.
I ask all of you to come back to study the objects in person while writing the assignment. Of course, you can refer to online images and photos, which will be useful for identifying the object information or checking the basic points before the submission. But the main expectation of Assignment 1 is to make a visual analysis of physical objects as experienced in person.
The drawers are located near the Special Collections offices on the 2nd floor of Canaday Library. The objects are accessible during the entire opening hours of the Canaday Library, which is much longer than the Special Collections opening hours: https://www.brynmawr.edu/inside/offices-services/library-information-technology-services#hours
Photographs of drawers so that you can easily find them:

You can view a pdf list of drawer numbers as well as the assignment prompt that I distributed today under the Assignment Tab on 9/24 (You can view and download these files once you click on the tab).
Lastly, a treasure hunt activity: go find the image of a Renaissance artwork included in the Ruth Fine exhibition on the first floor of the Canaday Library. It is the artwork we already saw in the class. What is it, and how did Ruth Fine make use of its image? We'll check in one another next week if you could find it.
Have a great day everyone! See you next week.
